Pink Floyd- Coming Back to Life

David Gilmour..you really ROCK!

Where were you when I was burned and broken
While the days slipped by from my window watching
Where were you when I was hurt and helpless
Because the things you say and the things you do surround me
While you were hanging yourself on someone else’s words
Dying to believe in what you heard
I was staring straight into the shining sun
Lost in thought and lost in time
While the seeds of lifeand the seeds of change were planted
Outside the rain fell dark and slow
While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the moment had arrived
For killing the past and coming back to life
I took a heavenly ride through our silence
I knew the waiting had begun
And headed straight..into the shining sun

Anybody who says “Oh no! You also like Pink Floyd??!!” - I swear I’m gonna kill that person. Yes, I do like them..I think they are awesome..There is no other rock band like them..nobody has David Gilmour’s sexy-husky-broken-cord kind of voice…so what’s wrong in liking this band?! Should I say I dont like them just because everybody else likes them??!

Till date, this is the only song that I have listened back to back from morning till evening literally…NON STOP! And I’m still not tired of it. Second close favorite is  ????????? Will tell you some other time :)

Yep gotta go with shravan there. Floyd void Waters doesn’t much cut it! Gilmour is not that bad, just that he can’t really write good songs.

My friend went to see Dave recently and he hasn’t stopped talking about it since. I also love the group.

Pink Floyd are officially top drawer in my eyes! They just sound fantastic. I had the opportunity to go and see them in concert at Earls Court, London when I was in my mid-teens with my parents, but declined because I was too cool to go with Mum and Dad! WHAT A MISTAKE!!!

I really like the majority of their work, but also rate The Division Bell, it’s a great album.

I like Division Bell too! I can’t believe it that you didn’t go for the concert. But if I think about it, I would have probably done the same thing. Everybody is plain weird during teenage.
